Beautiful oval, brilliant cut, Unheated, teal sapphire from Garbatula in Kenya. Fantastic colour saturation, clarity and lustre, being well over one carat makes this gem a perfect stone for a solitaire ring. It measures 8.0mm X 5.3mm X 3.4mm giving it a very slightly elongated look.

Beautiful padparadscha sapphire from Sri Lanka. Pear cut and weighing in at exactly 1.0ct it measures 7.6mm X 5.6mm X 3.0mm. The colour is exactly what everyone looks for in the best padparadscha sapphires being a peachy pink hue. It does have a few inclusions/flaws but in this colour of sapphire it is very rare indeed to find gems of this size with no inclusions. None of the inclusions in this gem are dark or obtrusive and once set they should almost vanish. The clarity and lustre are both excellent, this will make an awesome solitaire gem.

Super rare ultra clean and bright carnelian agate from the Scottish Highlands. Weighing 63ct and measuring 25.5mm X 23.0mm X 13.3mm, this is by far the best example we have discovered on our gem hunting expeditions into the remotest areas of the grampian mountains. It is extremely rare to find a piece of rough material of not only this grade but of this very large size as well. The gem is a translucent fiery orange but shine a light through it and it glows with bands of yellow as well. The grade is so high that it is almost transparent enough to facet! There are only very small inclusions within the gem and none that detract from the beauty of this one off marvel of Scottish geology. For collectors of Scottish gems this is a must have treasure.

Oval, round, pear and octagon Step cuts

Lovely pale pinkish purple unheated sapphire from the Umba valley in Tanzania with minimal inclusions and excellent lustre, the crystal growth lines are actually visible in the pictures of the back of the gem. Most sapphires from this valley are under 0.50ct and nearly all require heating to bring out their colour and improve clarity. This gem is the exception to the rule, over one carat and remaining completely natural makes it a very rare gem. It measures 7.0mm X 5.4mm X 3.4mm.

0.44ct Emerald cut bluish purple sapphire from Sri Lanka (ceylon) with outstanding clarity, colour saturation and lustre this gem, while not huge, really packs a punch and once set will make a spectacular statement piece of jewellery. It measures 4.8mm X 3.5mm X 2.3mm.
